The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to perform in the first half until called into action from Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. A sliding challenge on Qazim Laci highlighted excellent anticipation. 6/10

The tall defender A nuisance at set pieces, per usual, but may be another option for his teammate in the backline rather than his partner. A loose ball later in the match nearly resulted in the first goal from the visitors. Six

Nico O’Reilly Another assured display by the rising star after his first cap against another side. Saka was unable to take the most of an exquisite flick over their defense. His position is firmly his so soon. Seven

Adam Wharton A debut start in an England shirt. Somewhat loose in possession though his whipped corners caused problems. An effective tempo-setter available to the boss to utilize versus sides that sit back. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed foul. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and set-plays were dangerous. Enjoyed license to drift on the left yet found himself offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Granted a well-earned break after an hour. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward spot out wide and put in dirty work. Demonstrated moments of class and dragged an attempt over. Withdrawn towards the end by Rogers, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s best chance in the opening period, his strike smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. With Quansah holding position, he had to provide width out wide although his balls from wide areas were inconsistent. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes at international level. The opener a classic opportunist's goal and his next a classy finish with his head having drifted away off his defender. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Had difficulty to get into the game on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity when set up by the midfielder but the keeper denied him. Rashford made much more of an impact when substituted. Five
