Iran Reports Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and continuing attack against it by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any destruction is uncertain and the American officials has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.

Wider Impacts

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with notable success and shot down a number of missiles," the statement continued.

It said debris landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some property damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
