FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
