David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
